As students progress through their university career, they assume added responsibility in a small group so that, by graduation, they have significant practical experience in project planning and unitizing volunteers. they are being sought out by employers seeking applicants with these skills. Excelerate also supports the UCD Arboretum Opportunity Program provides grants to students who, for financial reasons, must seek work outside the university. This enables financially disadvantaged students, often from under represented groups, to participate in the various learning programs provided by the Arboretum with out having to take outside employment. |
